Why is it that when someone tells you that there’s billions of stars in the universe, you believe them. But if they tell you there’s wet paint somewhere you have to touch it?

Because it is impossible to count all the stars in the universe so one would not waste time trying to verify that truth while on the other hand, the wet paint is easier to verify soooo. yeah ;p
